We met with 235 business leaders and professionals, 55 local officials and community leaders, endorsed 12 projects and town initiatives and much, much more. We’re working hard to address the region’s housing shortage and to get our business community involved and engaged in this very important conversation. We had a special visitor in the office - Courtney's baby, Elle!

Peter enjoyed re-connecting with Rosemary Powers, the new president of Cristo Rey Boston High School. The school has an amazing mission and long list of success stories. Rosemary also brings an unusual background having worked with three different Governors in three different states.
Joe Yotts, a familiar face around the Chamber for more than 20 years, will once again be engaged with us as TD Bank’s point person with the Chamber.
The South Shore Economic Development Corporation held its first meeting of the year and was pleased to welcome Lyn Matteson as a new Trustee. Lyn just celebrated his one year anniversary as President of Liberty Bay Credit Union. Happy Anniversary.
We sat down with Leadership in Action co-chairs, Erin Williams (Rockland Trust) and Maggie May Guisti (Express Employment Professionals), about this year’s event in May. This is LiA’s 9th year. The event has provided a day of empowerment, leadership, and a unique experience to over 1,500 South Shore high school girls. AMAZING! Opportunities to sponsor or volunteer available.
