NORWELL, Mass. – (May 26, 2021) – Prominent Norwell-based executive, Alan McKim, President & CEO of Clean Harbors, the largest hazardous waste disposal company in North America, has gifted $500,000 to NVNA and Hospice’s 100th Anniversary Grace Campaign. The donation will cover costs of staying at the Pat Roche Hospice Home for patients and families facing financial limitations.
Under the leadership of Campaign Chair Jane Steinmetz, Managing Principal, Ernst & Young, Grace Campaign donations will establish a fund for the future that will build on the mission of the Pat Roche Hospice Home and further enhance the agency’s Palliative Care Division. With this generous donation, the campaign has $4.7 million to date, exceeding its original goal of raising $4.5 million. Having experienced firsthand the unique services that the hospice home offers when his own mother spent time as a patient, McKim could think of no better way to honor her legacy. “No family is turned away for financial reasons at the Pat Roche Hospice Home and that is an immensely important resource for the community,” remarked McKim. “My family and I are honored to support this mission.” In gratitude for the donation, NVNA and Hospice will be naming one of the home’s patient floors after McKim’s mother, Barbara F. McKim. “The NVNA and Hospice family is so inspired by the McKim family’s generosity,” said NVNA and Hospice CEO, Renee McInnes, RN. “Our hospice care offerings are expanding, and the McKim family is investing in our future.” For more information or to make a donation, visit: NVNA and Hospice Charitable Fund.
