How and when did the company get started?
A new time, a new name. On December 1st, our organization – which is more than 100 years old -- will have a new name: Croí Health. The name NVNA and Hospice reflects our past. The name Croí Health takes us into the future, reflecting all that we do, and our commitment to growth. This is not a merger or an acquisition. Just a new name. Why are we changing our name? Over the past 17 years since “Hospice” was added to our name, we have grown our services to include palliative care, open the Pat Roche Hospice Home, and expand our service territory to 27 towns in our region. Our goal is for our brand to represent the scope of care we offer today and not limit ourselves as our service offerings continue to grow. What does Croí mean? Croí (pronounced “CROY”) is inspired by the Gaelic word for "heart.” As Croí Health, we will still be the same non-profit organization you have always known, dedicated to expanding patient care access while maintaining the clinical excellence our patients and community have come to expect from us.
