Courtney attended the Town of Norwell’s last Public Forum to engage the community in their rezoning efforts for Queen Anne’s Plaza and Accord Park. The town presented the findings from their traffic study and an overview of the proposed zoning changes (to include possible housing). Click here for more information.
Peter attended Quincy Mayor Koch’s Inaugural address. As a history buff was excited to hear his goal of building a museum to the Adams family and bring some of the Adams family library back. They have been “on loan” to the Boston Public Library ….for a very long time.
A plus side of attending an evening hearing for the Rockland Zoning Board of Appeals is having the opportunity to try out Lucca South Shore.
Peter spent four hours at the State House for a hearing on some proposed regulations. Fortunately, the State House has lots of walking space which led to some friendly hallway conversations with Rep. Joan Meschino of Hull and Majority Leader Ron Mariano of Quincy. Sometimes you get more done in the hallway than in the meeting rooms.
Jim Dunphy of South Shore Bank hosted one of our informal small group lunches. Jim, our new Director of Development Jill Donovan and Peter were joined by our newly elected Board member Jeff Cronin of Brewster Ambulance, the new South Shore Director of The Trustees of Reservations, Andrew Gallagher, Darryl Elliott of Elliott Physical Therapy, Rebecca Nidositko of Main Street Media—who assists us with our social media strategy, Darin Souza of Northeast Insurance Solutions, and Marlene Ketchen of The Cabinetry.
Worked with Richard Olson at Envision Bank to put the final touches on our re-scheduled Economic and Development breakfast co-sponsored with Envision.
