"We need to be careful that we are not inadvertently creating more roadblocks for more women. I think that is a unique challenge as we get into positions of power. We need to be careful not just to take on the persona of the status quo... women were expected to look like men and to act like men. You were successful if you did that and you rose through the ranks. But how crazy is that? If I look like the guy in power, dress like the guy in power and I do all the things like the guy in power, I must get power. I think it's easy to forget that that's a really bad thing. You need to show up as yourself. And if you can't, it's not the right company for you."

It is crucial that we do not adopt the persona of the status quo. Throughout history, women have been expected to conform to male standards of appearance and behavior. It's time to assert ourselves and break free from these expectations. 6/12/2024 03:12:47 am
