How and when did the company get started? More than a century ago, 3M started as a small-scale mining venture in Northern Minnesota, then named Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company. Now a global powerhouse, our products improve the daily lives of people around the world. 3M Rockland was established in October 2007. What products or services do you offer? Our passion for science and innovation spans the enterprise, but we are organized around three business groups to best serve our customers. Each of our business groups help customers find solutions, big and small, to help improve various aspects of your life – from safety equipment for workers, to transportation solutions that are better for the environment, to the Post-it® Notes you have on your desk, 3M Science is never far away. 3M Rockland is part of the Safety & Industrial Business Group. We manufacture different tapes for the construction & industrial industries.
