The South Shore Chamber of Commerce brought together more than 250 members of the region’s business community on Thursday, November 6, at Leo’s Events & Restaurant in Braintree for its Annual Meeting. The event celebrated a successful year of collaboration and progress, highlighted by the introduction of the new South Shore Chamber Honors, recognizing outstanding contributions to the region’s business and cultural landscape. The inaugural South Shore Chamber Honors were awarded to three distinguished recipients:
The Chamber also recognized outgoing SSCC Board Chair Bonnie Simmons of Citrin Cooperman and SSEDC Chair David Ellis of Ellis Realty Advisors for their dedicated service and leadership. Both reflected on the Chamber’s achievements over the past year—including hosting more than 50 events, supported by 52 sponsors, 47 Partnership Circle members and over 115 new members—and spoke about the strength of the Chamber’s membership and the momentum heading into 2026. “This year has been one of growth and renewed engagement across our business community,” said Tim Cahill, President of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. “The launch of the South Shore Chamber Honors allowed us to celebrate some of the region’s most inspiring leaders and innovators—people and businesses who embody the collaboration, creativity, and resilience that define the South Shore.” Reflecting on her tenure, Bonnie Simmons, outgoing SSCC Board Chair, shared, “It’s been a privilege to serve during such an exciting time for the Chamber. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and confident in the Chamber’s continued success.” The Chamber expressed appreciation to its generous event sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor M&T Bank, South Shore Chamber Honors Sponsor Tiny & Sons Auto Glass, and Reception Sponsors Cape Cod 5, Crocker Design Group, Distinctive Pergolas, Insperity HR, and TKO Malley’s.
