This workplace violence prevention workshop is an interactive program designed to help Human Resource Professionals and their Managers address the issue of workplace violence We will discuss the links in the chain of violence; threats, domestic violence, peer abuse etc. and explore methods to recognize the signs leading up to an incident of violence that may aid in preventing or at least mitigating an incident of violence. Simple and practical calming and de-escalation techniques are reviewed as well. The workshop will be led by Kevin Croake of Pinkerton Consulting and Investigations and William Connors or Risk Management Advisors, two experienced professionals in the industry, and examples of real life experiences are encouraged and will be presented for group discussion
