    Social Media

    The South Shore Chamber of Commerce uses social media for marketing communications, public relations and member engagement purposes. Specifically, we use these media to promote our members, promote the Chamber's events, programs, advocacy; give an insider peek into the Chamber; ask for feedback or interaction from networks; or share news. 

    Our audience is demographically diverse and comprised of members and non-members, from across the South Shore and beyond. For this reason our social media vehicles of choice are Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.

    Facebook allows us to share photos of and status updates with our members once or twice daily. We have over 1000 fans on Facebook. LinkedIn allows us to use our Company Page with 300 Followers to push information our to our members, and our LinkedIn Group (with over 900 members) allows members only to share information with one another. We update LinkedIn two to three times a week. Twitter is fastest moving channel with original tweets and retweets every few hours. A subset of our 3000 followers interact with our Tweets daily. Finally, Instagram appeals to our youngest demographic, purely through the sharing of photos that tell our story.

    Shared posts often come from newspaper articles from the Patriot Ledger and other local media sources about our members.  Other content comes from the members themselves who have grown wise to the vast reach, capabilities and reach of the Chamber's social media pages.

    Be featured more prominently than your member peers through our social media channels.  The Chamber’s fast growing Facebook Page, LinkedIn Company Page and Group and Twitter profile are followed by 3000 followers, connections and friends.
