  • Marshfield Citizen of the Year Nomination Process

    Each year, the Marshfield community comes together a nominate an outstanding citizen for the accomplishments, contributions and volunteerism in and around Marshfield. In collaboration with the Marshfield Mariner, the chamber collects nominations which are reviewed by a committee of past winners and representatives from the Mariner & Chamber of Commerce.

    Nomination applications for the 2016 Citizen of the Year will be released in Feb 2017 in the Mariner.


  • 2015 Citizen of the Year: Marie Kurmin

    Marie Kurmin is a local business owner and chamber member, as well as many other things around Marshfield. Her involvement with the PTO, Grad Nite Live, the Marshfield Education Foundation, Marshfield FACTS are only a small picture of the impact Kurmin has had on the many students and families in our community.

  • 2014 Citizens of the Year: Bill & Nancy Bowers

    A celebration was held on the Village Green in June 2015 to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of this outstanding couple.

    "For Bill & Nancy Bowers, volunteering isn't just a hobby; it's a way of life. The couple is very active within the Marshfield community. Bill serves as president of the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield's board of direcotrs, co-chairman of Grad Nite Live, a board member for the Molly Fitzgerald Memorial Fund, and a member of the town's newly formed Economic Development committee. Nancy is the vice president of Marshfield Friends of Music, the school district's music booster organization and it active in other organizations alongside her husband."
