Praying For Our Ancestors: Celebrating the Real Halloween
Fr. Timothy Joyce, OSB and Mairead Doherty, Celtic Harpist
Suggested Donation: $65.00, includes dinner - limited to eighteen (18) people.*
This evening reflection will draw on the Christian feast of All Saints ("All Hallows Eve") and the Celtic New Year ("Samhain") to remember those who have gone before us, especially our own ancestors. It begins with First Vespers of All Saints at 5:15 pm followed by a talk and supper at the Morcone Center. We return to Church for Compline and a Ritual of Remembrance. Participants are asked to bring photos of deceased family members, friends and heroes of their lives.
Father Timothy is recognized as an expert in Celtic studies. He has authored three books on Celtic Spirituality, conducted pilgrimages to Celtic lands, and has, in collaboration with Mairead Doherty, been giving work-shops on Celtic themes for twenty - one years.
Mairead Doherty is a Celtic harpist and trained professional musician.*Please register : 781-749-2155 ext. 300 or email firstname.lastname@example.orgBusiness Directory News Releases Events Calendar Hot Deals Member To Member Deals Marketspace Job Postings Contact Us Information & Brochures Weather Join The Chamber
