Hingham Business Council

The Hingham Business Council speaks on behalf of business – small and large – in the historic town of Hingham. Recently, the business council conducted a comprehensive overview of the economic climate in the South Hingham/Derby Street overlay district. Meeting with many Hingham, South Shore, and Boston area private sector experts, the business council is able to present to the town of Hingham a “bird’s eye” synopsis of current thinking regarding potential economic opportunities for this commercial district.

The business council continues to give its full support for the economic revitalization of the former Hingham shipyard, now known as “The Launch”. The major commercial development, when completed, will be both a source of pride for all Hingham residents and a valued economic engine along the commercially important Route 3A corridor.
